I am a freelance French-English translator with expertise in areas including law, social science, journalism, and the arts. Past clients include the McGill Law Journal in Montreal, the École supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales (ESSEC) in Paris, and the Brown University, for whom I did interpretation work in Bamako, Mali.
After learning French at a young age, I studied French literature at the university level and interned at the public relations office of the Comedie-Francaise in Paris and with the Conseiller Litteraire of the Theatre National Populaire in Lyon. Since that time, I have worked as a journalist, translator, and teacher in Chicago, Boston, and New York.
My services include French-to-English translation, editing of English language documents (including machine translations), subtitling, consultations with writers working in English as a second language, and language instruction.
Rates, references, and work samples are available upon request.
