Career / Experience

I lived in the United Kingdom for 22 years. Since 2003, I have been residing in France with my English husband (published writer Roderick Craig Low) and have been working as a home-based freelance translator.

Professional experience (in English and French):

Translation (English < > French) – general (legal disputes and claims, sales conditions, tax issues, residential matters , advertising, …) and more specifically (user documentation, artist's website, children story, and two book translations from French into English 'The Priory of Sion – Shedding Light on the Treasure and Legacy of Rennes-le-Château and the Priory of Sion' for Jean-Luc Chaumeil and "The Gentle French" for Mireille Gaüzère).

Technical writing (mostly in English – some French) - development and writing of user documentation (Internet services and tools, clinical trial system, investigational drug database, banking modules, helpdesk system, retrieval databases on European legislation and parliamentary documents, …)

Accountancy (English < > French) – all accounting aspects, including implementation and support of SunAccounts accounting modules

Banking (English < > French) – national and international loan products administration / assistance with refinancing agreements for Zambia, Morocco and Senegal

Although I am a native French speaker, I have been living in an English - often bilingual - environment for a great many years, during which I have acquired an extensive knowledge and expert command of the English language. I have an investigative mind and professional attitude towards every project I undertake.

0.05 to 0.10 Euro per word in the source language, negotiable depending on the length of the text, the level of difficulty and the urgency.
