English > Inuktitut: 50 multiple-choice exam, approx. 2500 words

Hello,

What I am looking for is to translate a 50 multiple-choice exam into another language. My audience is small and infrequent.
I am trying to assist a small minority to find employment. The number of words in the complete exam is approximately 2,500 (MS Word).

The sample below is about average size question/answers.

My concern is that many English words have a great deal of different meanings in English depending upon it's usage, making the translations more difficult. Would I have to explain every multi-meaning word and describe what it supposed to represent? How would I know if the translation took an incorrect meaning?.

I had and exam translated English - Philipino and when it was used, they laughed and I found out that
there were many Literal translations, so much did not make much sense to them and they just used the English.

What guarantees do I have that your translation would be much better?

What time frame would I be looking at.

Is the cost closely tied to the word count or by technical words?

Jerry
