English > Quechua: Large, long-term project in the IT industry
I am writing from the Vendor Management department at a translation and localization company based in Barcelona (Spain) and member of LCG EEIG. Please feel free to check our website for details.
We have a new opportunity for a large, long-term project in the IT industry, involving a number of new languages, and starting in 2011, including Quechua and K’ichua.
I would need the additional information below:
- Do you have capacity in this language? What are the rates?
- How many qualified translators per language do you have with experience in the IT industry?
- What CAT tools (if any) do you use? What version?
- What would be the daily translation capacity per resource?
- Do your translators work in-house or on a freelance basis? If the latter, where are they located?
- How is the network connection generally? Do you and your translators have a high-speed Internet connection? How do you prevent or deal with network problems?
- Is this language particularly challenging when it comes to localization?
- This language is completely new to localization for this product, how would you plan to deal with it (i.e. to ensure the right terminology is consistently used)?
If you have any questions please let me know, I can organize a conf call if needed.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Thanks,
Inés
