Microbiologist by profession, have been in pharmaceutical manufacturing industries for the past 20 years.

Preparation, proofreading and translation of technical documents (English to Malay, vise-versa) have been part of daily routine for the past 20 years although it is not the main task. Documents mainly are of technical, the rest include brochures, leaflets, package inserts, forms etc. Example of documents are : Standard Operating Procedures, Batch Manufacturing Records, Protocol of Analysis, Bioequivalence Study Report, Stability Study Report, Clinical Study Report.

Started as a part-time freelancer since 2002, to help out those who need my translation service.

   Pricing / Other services

Current rate is USD 0.05 (general) to USD 0.07 (technical) per source word. Current capacity is 1000 to 2000 words per day, preferably a project of 10,000 words per 10 days but can be increased up to 7000 words per day on urgent basis (where the charges will be increased by 15%).

Prior to any translation, the whole text contents are reviewed. Translations are done paragraph by paragraph with capacity of 15 to 20 minutes per 250 words depend on complexity of the sentence structure and difficulty of the technical terms. Smoothness of the whole sentence is emphasized other than accuracy and style. The whole texts are proofread after translation completed. No electronic tool will be used as translations are done off-hand. Technical dictionary will be referred to for cases where there are more than one terms being used to refer to the same source word. The best term is selected with option written in bracket.
