I have a degree in English from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and have lived and worked in the USA for seven years.
I have extensive freelance experience in English-Bulgarian and Bulgarian-English translation in various fields: literature, journalism, films, medical, economics and business management, ecology, patents etc. After winning a competition in 1987, I did simultaneous interpreting for The Academy of Social Sciences and Social Management for two years. I have done consecutive and simultaneous interpreting for the Bulgarian Sports Federation for several years and numerous written translations for Bureau Translations in Sofia. I have translated documentaries for the Bulgarian National Television and two films for Walt Disney and done a lot of proofreading of literary critique for the Research and Education Association in Piscataway, New Jersey.
I have taught English and American literature to 12 graders.
