Apropos
Apropos is a translation agency founded in 2000 and based in The Hague, Netherlands. It was established in Rochester NY (U.S.) where the owner, Rutger H. Cornets de Groot, worked as a full-time, freelance translator for two years.

Areas of Specialization
Our services include translations that require expertise in internet publications (using HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Perl and various CAT tools). We specialize in the translation for such sectors as industry (trade journals, company newsletters, personnel surveys, etc.), marketing, academics, and literature.

   Pricing / Other services

Our aim is to provide rates for services that are tailored to the needs of the client and the specific assignment. Rates vary based on complexity of the project, research required, reference material provided, payment terms, quality of source text, etc. For example, a straight non-technical text would require less specialized expertise, less research, and therefore, less chargeable hours than a scientific abstract.

In order to establish an appropriate rate for a specific project, we need to assess the individual assignment. For that reason, we encourage our clients to submit a detailed description of the work to be translated including the type of text (technical/scientific, business, literary), the length of the text, support material that may be provided, etc. After evaluating the project, we will propose a suitable rate.

The minimum fee for any contract is $40.00 (€35.00). We do not charge extra for rush jobs. After all, there is no such thing as a rush job. Please contact us for a quote at no charge.
