I am a native German-speaker from Switzerland, and was living in Japan for almost 3 years. recently.
I studied Japanese language in a compact study of 2 semesters at Zurich university (2001-2002) and for 18 months at a Japanese language institute in Japan (2004-2005). I passed the Japanese language proficiency test level 2 in december 2004. After that I worked at several places in Japan and came back to Switzerland because of familiar reasons in August 2006.
Bevore going to Japan I was employed at a major Swiss bank company from 1997 until 2003. I quited my job in Switzerland because of my strong interest in Japan, its culture and language and decided to challenge a new start in the wonderful country of the rising sun. Now back to Switzerland, I am working as a Private Clients Advisor at a well known middle sized Swiss bank company.
For the near future I would love to do some translation works on weekends, to use my Japanese/German knowledges. After some years, in case of good job conditions, I am planning to live in Japan again.
I am still a beginner in the translation business, but I promis I will do my best to help you with your translations and other problems and questions about Japan and its language. I also can provide help and proofreading from Japanese native speakers at any time.
