I hold a BA in Translation and Interpreting and have been accredited as Sworn Translator (English-Spanish) by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I started to work as a translator in 1999 and since 2012 I work exclusively as a freelancer for agencies and direct clients, including several international organizations. I also translate from and into Galician, my second mother tongue.

My main field of specialization is finance, having an extensive experience translating for the global investments industry. I also have a vast background working for international organizations in subjects related to EU Regulation, development, migrations, gender and climate, among others.

EXPERIENCE:

Financial Translation: More than 4,500 pages translated from English into Spanish in the field of finance, specially fund related texts, such as KIIDs, PRIIPs, annual, semi-annual and quarterly reports, fund commentaries, website and blog content, memoranda and articles of association, prospectuses, consolidated financial statements, in-house magazines, international development reports, letters to shareholders, market reports, minutes of board of directors, press releases, e-learning material, forex, AML/CFT policy, economic forecasts, financial newsletters, and documents on microcredits and microfinance.
Translation for International Organizations: More than 6,000 pages translated from English into Spanish in European Union and United Nations affairs and public administration, including varied documentation used during the EU Parliament plenary sessions, such as parliamentary questions, answers from the European Commission; reports on equal opportunities for women and men, the empowerment of women and the Millennium Development Goals; website and blog content and different leaflets on human resources for the UN bodies; website and dissemination documents for the OPCW; texts and press releases for the OECD and the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD).
Legal: More than 1,000 pages translated from English into Spanish in the legal field, including contracts, memoranda and articles of association, certificates, apostilles, academic records and diplomas, codes of conduct, compliance instructions, confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, EU legislation, terms and conditions, powers of attorney, and legislation on environmental, H&S and product regulatory compliance.

Corporate and Business: Internal documents on social corporate responsibility, internal rules, e-learning, correspondence, website & blog content, terms and conditions.
