Distinction of being News Editor of the Kolkata edition of The Economic Times (second largest financial daily in the world) for more than 7 years (1996-2003) out of a total 12 years in the editorial desk of The Economic Times, Kolkata edition.
During that period also managed, edited and wrote for 3 weekly feature pages - The Small Print (devoted to SMEs), Dateline India (current affairs) & Rest Day (sports, art & culture and entertainment).
Distinction of conceiving and giving shape to Cyber Yug, presently the largest circulated Bengali magazine on Information Technology.

Financial journalist at The Economic Times, (ET), Kolkata. Was Senior News Coordinator (News Editor) at the time of leaving ET.

Economist at the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kolkata. Was Senior Asst. Secretary at the time of leaving the job.

Economist at the Indian Chamber of Commerce. Left the job as Sr. Asst. Secretary.

II. Puplications/papers/books
Innumerable signed editorials, news features, news items, articles and commentaries in The Economic Times, Business Standard & The Statesman (all English dailies), Cyber Yug (a monthly magazine in Bengali on Information Technology), and Business Update & Point Counterpoint (both weekly magazines).
Several monographs, background reports and industry status reports for the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Of these, one monograph titled 'Vision for the '90s' deserves special mention. The monograph analysed the Industrial Policy Resolution of 1956 clause by clause and recommended several policy changes. I am proud and privileged to announce that several of those recommendations have been accepted and implemented by the Government of India as part of its ongoing economic reforms package launched in 1991.

III. Other Distinctions
Was interviewed by BBC, London while on a visit to the city in 1999 on the subject “Problems and Prospects of the Indian Economy” – the programme was aired on BBC’s Bengali World Service.
Participated in a television Talk Show on the West Bengal Budget 2003-2004 on Alpha Bangla Channel, part of the Zee Network, India in 2003.
IV. Overseas Experience
Visited Germany & the UK in 1999 to produce an 8-Page (newspaper broadsheet) International Industry Report on Mining & Mining Machinery companies published in The Economic Times.
Visited Bangladesh in 1997 to produce a 14-Page (newspaper broadsheet) International Country Report on Bangladesh published in The Economic Times & The Times of India.
V. Education & Training
Passed M.A (Economics) with Practice School from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, 1981 in the second division with 57% in the aggregate. This was a five-year integrated programme and so do not have any separate Bachelor degree.
Passed ICSE (science stream) from St Patrick’s Higher Secondary School, Asansol, in 1974 in the first division with 69% in the aggregate.
Attended in 1997 a 5-day training programme on human resource management organised by the International Labour Organisation as a sponsored candidate of the ICC.

Special discounts for bulk/regular work.
However, minimum prices for English to Bengali and vice-versa translation/writing is Rs 5 (approx $0.10) per word of original text.
Minimum prices for interpretation is Rs 300 per hour (approx $6 per hour).
Voice-over: Minimum Rs 400 per hour and must be paid for minimum 1 hour if actual time is less than 1 hour. (Can provide female voice also).
Provide all kinds of web design and content development services including video and still images as well as audio content.
