By profession I'm a mathematician and a mechanical engineer. I have an extensive technical vocabulary in both English and Irish.

For me, this means I can write precisely what I want to say, in the way I want to say it, in either language. For you, it means you can ask for a translation of "symmetric digraph path-cycle generating function" or "forward hybrid serial-parallel kinematics" without worrying whether I'll understand what it means. If there's an Irish word for it, I'll know it; if there isn't, I'll tell you, and we can discuss your options.
