I am French native speaker with a Master's Degree in Applied Languages (Specialised Translation and Languages Industry). My languages are English and German, and my fields of specialisation include Literature, Art, Business, Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, Media, Journalism, IT.

I have acquired a great linguistic and cultural knowledge of english-speaking countries by living in Ireland for a year as an exchange student, as well as in Scotland, where I have been staying for 3 years and working in various fields, mostly in Education and Health and Social Care.

I have developed experience in translating throughout my years in university, and through the 25-page English>French translation I produced as my final year project (‘Women and History‘). I have also applied and improved my translating skills during a three-month placement in a technical translation company, and through personal projects and a translation contract with a restaurant.

I also possess an extended knowledge of terminology, acquired through my degree and applied via the compilation of a terminological dictionary and computerised database (‘the scoring system in Women’s Gymnastics‘).

I own a computer and have a broadband connection, as well as a thorough and versatile knowledge of IT: Word, Works, Excel, Access, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, HTML, Internet (Search engines, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Outlook Express, Usenet, IM).

My rates are open to negotiation, but revolve around 0.06 USD / 0.04 EUR / 0.03 GBP per source word. I use PayPal as a means of payment.
