PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Journalist
- Jan 2002- Nov 2003: News desk journalist with Aii Data Processing Ltd., a subsidiary of Factiva, which is a joint venture between Reuters and Dow Jones news agencies. Digests articles from Slovak and Czech online financial news providers and translates them into English;
- April 2004- Dec 2005: Editor at the Bulgarian national business daily paper the PARI, English issue.
- since Jan 2006 – works for the Bulgarian edition of BusinessWeek

Sworn Translator
- with Fides Interconsult translation agency, since August 2003; translating from and to English and Czech;
- translates scientific articles for the Sofia University’s Homo Bohemicus quarterly, since November 2003.
- works as a translator for the International NGO Centropa, since April 2004
- sworn translator with Karina translation agency, since June 2004
- translates for the Union of Translators in Bulgaria – since June 2005


ACADEMIC PREPARATION:
- 1992-1997: National School for Ancient Languages and Civilizations “St. Konstantin-Cyril the Philosopher”,;
- 1997-2003: MA from Faculty of Slavic Studies at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", courses of Czech and Bulgarian studies attended;
- 1998-1999: Charles University, the Czech Republic, a year study sojourn - scholarship holder of the Czech Government.
- 1999-2000: Centre for Language Preparation “Alians”, Sofia, – third level in German covered /G3 according to Goethe Institut’s standards/,
- 2004: New Bulgarian University, Sofia; graduate course in scriptwriting, started October 2004
- July 2005: European Journalism Institute, Prague; the full course completed
