30 years experience working with languages. Particularly,
I was employed by USG-Co-text AG in Zuerich /Switzerland as a foreign language editorial assistant from feb.94 to jan.98 before I arrived in England where I was working in the medical field for 17 years.
I was in charge of the following tasks: translation, proofreading and correction of translations of various subjects from german and english into french for factual accuracy, consistent terminology and style.
Identifying errors in interpretation, clarification of linguistic ambiguities in the original text with the client or with specialists
proofreading of material prior to printing
Translation and Editorial revision of speeches and PR texts (ensuring quality of press releases, company reports, image brochures, group profiles, customer and employee newspapers).

Regarding terminology, extending and updating the internal reference and specialist library for various specialist areas, preparing glossaries for specific clients and subjects, supporting the external team with internally produced terminology lists.
I was also assisting clients in the revision of texts which were directly written in french, customer care and direct collaboration with clients in Switzerland and abroad, feedback to other employees regarding quality of translations and language-related matters and supporting the managing director in the evaluation and induction of new partners.
In England: interpreting and translations services for police and judicial authorities.
