Marketing, IT and Multimedia Translator - 20+ years in the Localization Industry
PROFILE
I am a qualified translator (English/German > Italian), based in Italy after spending several years in UK and Germany. I have been in the localisation industry for more than 20 years, working both as project manager and as in-house translator for leading localisation and multimedia companies.
I am passionate about my work and have a very thorough attitude. Both as project manager in the localisation industry and as translator my focus has always been on quality.
I specialise in Marketing, IT, Multimedia, Telecommunications, Business Intelligence, Legal, Industrial Automation, Automotive, Tourism, and more.
My career path is as follows:
After cooperating with the Queriniana Editore Publishing House (Italy), I worked for five years as Project Manager at Logos S.p.A, a large translation company based in Italy, where I was the main contact for Philips Medical Systems.
In 2003 I moved to Great Britain in order to join SDL International, where in 2005 I was promoted Senior Translator.
In July 2006 I started my career as a full-time Freelance Translator. Since then I have been working on projects for Microsoft, Google, RIM, HP, Avaya, EPLAN, SAP, Nike, Nestlé, Best Western, EF, Superdry, Spotify, to name just a few.
From October 2007 to May 2008 I worked as External Translator at Nintendo of Europe (Frankfurt/Main, Germany).
In 2013 I was registered among the Sworn Translators of the court in Modena (Italy) and can now offer complete legal services including swearing of documents at the court.
I own Microsoft Office 2010, SDL Trados Studio 2019, SDL Passolo 2018 Translators Edition, Idiom, Star Transit XV Professional, OmegaT, Across 7.0, Alchemy Catalyst 9.0, MS LocStudio 4.6, and other applications and CAT tools.
