Career / Experience

I have a BA in Translation (English, French, Spanish) from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), and pursued Journalism and Newswriting studies at the London School of Journalism.

I started working as an English teacher for several language centers in Caracas, and as a professor of French and French Translation at the School of Modern Languages of the UCV.

I then worked as a full-time translator in a law firm for seven years. I translated legal documents, such as contracts, license agreements, court decisions, patents and trademark material from and into Spanish, English and French on a daily basis.

In addition, I have been translating and localizing general and technical texts concerning public transport, oil, politics, economy, education, administration, software, technology and social sciences for Venezuelan and international translation agencies.

After finishing the Journalism and Newswriting Course, I have also written articles and reviews for printed and electronic media, and worked as a freelance communications advisor for Venezuelan companies and multinational corporations.
