Experience:
1993-present –Working as freelance translator / interpreter for Italian and French in Chennai for the past
several years. Have rich and varied experience in translation and interpretation for many companies in the leather and granite industry, automobile and tractor manufacturing units, heavy engineering units and the film industry, having worked for two Italian film productions which were shot in India. Major part of the work involves translation of technical and commercial documents received from different companies and acting as interpreter for Italian clients during business meetings with their Indian counterparts.
Qualifications:: B.Sc. from Calcutta University (where I studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics); Oberstufe in German from the Max Muller Bhavan , Calcutta; Diploma Superieur from Alliance Francaise de Paris and diplome de traductrice in French; attended the Corso Medio in Italian language at the University for Foreigners, Perugia in Italy.
