ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

I have a Ph.D. in International Development Studies from the University of Wisconsin, MA dgrees in Middle East Studies from the Uniersity of Chicago and Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin, and BA degrees in International Relations and Hebrew Studies.

LANGUAGES:
-HEBREW - Five years formal study + 7 years living in the country
-TURKISH- Two years formal study + 4 years living and working in Turkey
-ALBANIAN - Fluent; 3+ years in the country dealing with legal, property, natural resources and social issues.

- I have worked as an international development consultant for a variety of clients --- the World Bank, the United Nations and USAID --- for 30+ years, with over 4 years spent in Turkey and in Albania. In my work in those countries I operate without any translators, doing my own interviews and translating legal and other documents, as needed

Rates vary based on the nature of the material. Straight forward translation services are priced at between USD 0.11 - 0.14. Where documents require formatting or entail other complications, an hourly rate of $38-41 is applied.

Proofreading is based on estimates of hours needed and the extent of editing that may be required.
