Career / Experience

More than 10 years of Translation experience with LDSChurch, DR Congo mission and International agencies. From 2005-2009 have been attending a translation training in South Africa under the provision of the LDS Church experts from USA(SLC) in order to complete a bulky translation project for the Church implementing her teachings and materials in local languages.

Translation working pairs: English- French, French-English, English- Lingala, English- Kikongo, Lingala/ Kikongo- English.

Fields of specialization: Religion, Education, business, Linguistics and General....birth certificates; transcribing Audio files as well as voice recording.

Interprete from English to French, English-Lingala, English-Kongo and vice versa.

I do this often when Church Authorities from Salt Lake City and South Africa come to deliver their messages to local members, and may take place twice a year. I also team up with colleagues to assist NGO's and DR Congo goverment partners through conference, workshops and forums.

My rates :£0.08-0.12/word or £40-50 /hour translation.
£65/hr, and £250/day

BA in English and Linguistics from the National Pedagogical University(UPN),
One year post-university studies in Ecole Doctorale at the same university in Translation and Interpretation.

Graduated in 1997 in ESL and taught english as a Foreign Language until 2007.

Learn systematically Lingala and Kongo at High School(ISP/Kikwit) as pre-requisite for any language teacher in DR Congo, former Ziare.

Learn French at home or from Kindergarten since it is the administrative or official language, and taught it from 1984-1988.
