BACKGROUND

 Over 15 years of professional experience as a translator
 Freelancer for more than 20 major translation agencies
 Recent translation assignments have included involvement in quality control, testing and correction of certification tests and providing critiques on materials translated by other professionals.
 Educated in both Puerto Rico and the US
 Exposed to most variations of Spanish due to influences of other Latin American cultures while living in Puerto Rico
 While in College, admitted at the highest entry levels for required courses in English and Spanish, as well as for English and Spanish courses in the field of specialization
 Continued Education Seminars taken in Technical and Creative Writing, Brochure Layout and Marketing Techniques, HTML Editing and JavaScript
 Formerly held in-house positions as an Office Manager, Director of a Translation Department and Translator at several large translation companies in Orlando, Florida
 Former FDA Spokesperson, winner of Media Awards for promoting the Agency in Latin America (in both English and Spanish)
 Earlier temporary jobs included assignments at bilingual businesses in most of the fields of expertise (see FIELDS below)
 Totally proficient in the use of over 50 computer software programs, including Trados Freelance Edition 7.0.

Translation services - 10¢ - 13¢ per word based on source (negotiable)

Proofreading/editing services - $15.00-$20.00 per hour (negotiable)

Voiceovers - $50.00 per hour (two hour minimum)

Transcription services - $100.00 per each half hour of recording provided

   Certification / Accreditation

Spanish > English

I provide certified translations. That is, a statement provided by me on company letterhead (yours or mine), that certifies that I am fluent in both languages and that I have translated the document to the best of my knowledge, ability and belief. That statement is signed in the presence of the notary and stamped by him/her.
