I hold a bachelor’s degree in Translation and a master’s degree in Scientific and Technical Translation. I consider myself to be a specialist in transferring the meaning of words, ideas or messages from one language to another.

I have 11 years’ experience in the translation industry. During my degree, I started as an intern at the Portuguese Consulate in Barcelona, where I was able to gain experience in translating and reviewing Portuguese legal texts. Later, I obtained a grant to work at a translation agency located in the UK for more than a year, first as an intern and later as part of the professional team. While at this agency, I translated a wide range of documents in the following fields: marketing, legal, technical, medical, etc. When I came back from the UK, I worked in a legal firm for a year, where I had the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and experience in legal translation. I have also worked as a Project Manager for 8 years, so I fully understand what translation agencies expect from their linguists and I am able to solve and quickly detect the potential problems that may arise from the translation process.

As a freelance translator I am flexible, reliable and always work according to my high standard of quality.
