About me · Über mich

I speak English as my first language, and German on a native level, having spent my education and almost all of my life in Germany. I graduated from university in 1999 with a Master's Degree as a historian specialised in continental European medieval and renaissance history, with a fair knowledge of history of art and English literature. Since completing my studies at university, I have since worked in the online and translation industries in various positions, ranging from webdesigner to translation project coordinator.

Ich spreche Englisch als Muttersprache und Deutsch auf muttersprachlichem Niveau, da ich meine gesamte Ausbildung und Schulzeit in Deutschland absolviert habe. 1999 habe ich mein Studium der Geschichte als Magistra Artium mit dem Schwerpunkt Mittelalter und Frühe Neuzeit in Europa abgeschlossen, und verfüge auch über fundierte Kenntnisse in Kunstgeschichte und Englischer Literatur. Seither habe ich in verschiedenen Positionen in den Bereichen Online und Übersetzung gearbeitet, von Webdesigner bis zum Projektleiter Lokalisierung.

The basic fee for translations is 5 cent (0.05 EUR) per word of the original text . Fees for translations demanding special terminology and/or a lot of research, or for translations including code may be higher. Please feel free to give me the details of your project (size in words, specialty field, data format, etc.) and request an individual quote.

Der Grundpreis für Übersetzungen beträgt 5 cent (0,05 EUR) pro Wort der Ausgangssprache . Der Preis für Übersetzungen, die spezielle Terminologie und/oder viel Recherche beinhalten, oder für Übersetzungen, die Code enthalten, fällt unter Umständen höher aus. Bitte setzen Sie sich mit mir in Verbindung, um anhand der Details Ihres Projekts (Wortzahl, Spezialgebiet, Datenformat, etc.) ein individuelles Angebot zu erhalten.
