Telefonica is a multi-national company. It is Spain’s leading telephone provider and has a large presence in South America. This project was to provide web-enabled analytic applications/enterprise reporting (developed in IBM DB2 OLAP Integration Server) to executives and senior management to provide them with high-level business intelligence so that they could maintain a competitive edge.

Technologies used: IBM DB2 OLAP Integration Server, Application Manager, Arcplan Dynasight, HTML, JSP, JavaScript and Java Beans on a UNIX platform and citrix.

? Accountable for design and implementation of scorecard (developed in IBM DB2 OLAP) that facilitated executive control over the enterprise.
? Responsible for ensuring that business needs were met (reported to top-management, VPs and C-level executives).
? Assessed the functionality of all the facets of retrieving information in the dimensional data store of Oracle and DB2 based in Essbase.
? Responsible for the group that transformed Oracle dimensional data store relational databases into hierarchical, object-oriented databases with IBM DB2, part of which is Hyperion Essbase and OLAP Integration Server.

Amena is part of Auna Group, the leading alternative telecommunications operator in the Spanish market. It is Spain’s second-largest telephone company. This project was to provide a business solution to ensure that executives and senior management could make business decisions to secure their position in the marketplace. This analytic application, created in Hyperion Essbase, provided them with an easily accessible (online) business intelligence reports in the form of a web pages and graphics that relied on complex, multi-dimensional databases that included data on resources, financial information (in a variety of currencies) and profit margins.

Repsol is a multi-national oil company that is based in Spain and has a strong presence in Latin America. The purpose of this project was to design and implant a scorecard (approach Balanced Scorecard) for the European Vice presidents of the Refining & Marketing division.
