I have many years of experience in translation and interpretation, mainly in the technical area. This comes with an insight into the fields in which I received formal training. I believe good translators need to have knowledge of the fields and disciplines in which they translate, otherwise the text becomes distorted. I strive for quality in what I do.

I love different languages and peoples and I travelled and lived in several countries. I try to understand and embrace the diversity of different languages and cultures. Learning a different language entails learning about the culture, otherwise you are missing a key part.

My translation experience ranges from chemistry related articles, children’s books, booklets, to materials in different disciplines. I am a native Romanian speaker, married to a native English speaker. I have been living in the US since 2002, but I spend the summers in Romania.

Regarding my education, I studied Chemistry in a Romanian University and general business classes at Metro State University,MN, USA. I attended cross-cultural studies in USA and UK. I studied English from elementary school through to college and through the years I studied modules of English including classroom and correspondences courses. While living in Bolivia I learned Spanish through a training course from English to Spanish.
