Career / Experience

I am an American currently based in Germany, and I have been living in German-speaking countries for close to three years now. I received my Bachelor's degree from Columbia University in New York City, where I graduated summa cum laude. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree at the Freie Universität in Berlin.

I have been working in translation and proofreading for several years now. In addition to reading theses and dissertations, I have also prepared books for publication. I am especially experienced with texts in the social sciences, humanities and arts, but would be delighted to take on projects in any discipline.

   Pricing / Other services

For translation I charge between 8 and 12 cents per word, depending upon the difficulty of the text. I translate from German into English.

For editing and proofreading of English texts, I charge between 2 and 4 euro per page (of 2000 characters including spaces) depending upon the difficulty of the text.

I also assist with style and rhetoric, which generally costs upwards of 5 euro per page, depending on the level of involvement and difficulty of text.
