Background:
My ordinary field of business is technical translations, and I offer consulting services in technical manuals and safety information. Still, many of my assignments have been from other disciplines.

Specializations:
Technical manuals, handbooks, and training material.
I have worked as a freelancer on small and medium projects related to power generation, boilers, engines, industrial machines, and other mechanical equipment and systems.
I have over 25 years of professional "hands-on" experience as a developer, writer, and manager of wide-ranging technical user manuals.
Fifteen years as a freelance translator delivering technical manuals.
Excellent familiarity with power generation systems and related construction work.

Languages:
I'm fluent in English, Finnish, and Swedish and work bidirectionally with any of these language pairs.

Software:
I mainly use MateCat as translation memory software/CAT tool. Other CAT tools are Phrase/Memsource, CafeTran Espresso, and Wordfast Pro. The tools are compatible with industry-standard exchange formats and support file formats, including MS Office, Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, PDF, HTML, XML, and more.

CHARGES:
My translation, revisioning, and editing rate is €0,08 - €0,25 per source word, which is to be agreed upon on a project-by-project basis for each assignment.

GENERAL TEXT €0,08 PER SOURCE WORD.
COMPLEX ENGINEERING DOCUMENTS €0,20 PER SOURCE WORD.
MINIMUM CHARGE PER ASSIGNMENT €30.
