Career / Experience

I am Austrian but have been living and working in London, U.K. since 1996.

In 2008 I qualified as an English-German translator with the Institute of Linguists here in the U.K. However, I have been working as a freelance translator since 2000.

From 2002 until 2006 I was a freelance translator for an American car magazine, Automotive News, translating articles from German into English and also from English into German for their German sister company Automobilwoche.

I have done several film subtitles for Austrian short- and feature length films, again translating from German into English, worked as a proof reader for both English-German and German-English translations and did a wide range of translations for individuals.

Throughout my working life I have been involved in writing as a published children's book author, screenplay writer, journalist and film / television (I trained as an actress and also was a director for television). Therefore I have the necessary background knowledge for translating literature, subtitles, and articles.

Being a trained actress I am also qualified for doing voice-overs.
