The majority of my experience has been working in South Africa´s biggest bank in a 24 hour/7 days a week contact centre. I worked in the customer service department as a gateway to all banking services. The service is a one-stop-shop for customers, therefore making sure that anyone employed must be up to date on all banking services provide (telephone and internet banking) as well as be fully bilingual in both English and Afrikaans.

I have moved to Spain in 2005 and have been working in both Spanish and English environments on the Costa del Sol. This included different skills such as telemarketing jobs as well as managing a small shop. I have a good command of Spanish as well, but not enough to offer my services as a professional translator.

I am a fast learner, so even if your industry requires certain terminology, if you can guide me to the best learning source, I will get updated on the terminology and jargon quickly and be able to to a translation and/or interpretation that is professional and suit your needs.

My first aim is to build up a good reputation for potential employers.
I will be flexible with rates and they are negotiable.
Therefore, my quote for any job would be 5 % lower than any other reasonable quotation you have received.
This way, if you are happy with my work, I will appreciate if you send any future work my way as well.
If I quote on a job and you have received lower(reasonable) quotes, please contact me to negotiate a better deal for yourself.

I do not have any proffesional qualification as a translator. I am a native Afrikaans speaker and we learn English as a seond language from the age of 6. I have lived in an English speaking environment and have been complimented on my command of English by native English speakers.

As I do not have a qualification in this, I offer discounts on my rates and my prices are negotiable.
