Dear Sir/Madame,
I am an Italian freelance translator in possession of a Master's degree in Comparative Languages and Cultures as well as of a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures. I am specialized in English, Russian and Spanish to Italian translation and viceversa and I work also as a proofreader and editor.
As regards my professional background, I have been collaborating for more than 6 year with various translation agencies (for more details regarding this subject, please, see the attached CV), working as a freelance translator/copywriter/proofreader from English and Russian to Italian, as well as from Russian to English; an experience that permitted me to broaden my translation abilities with the translation of more than 2000 texts of different categories, ranging from texts for marketing and advertising campaigns, texts for apps and games, product descriptions, tourism texts, descriptions of hotels, accommodations and holiday destinations, to science news articles, technical manuals, and children's books.
My previous work experiences make me particularly skilful in legal, financial, marketing, multimedia, gaming and arts translation and as translator for many different websites I have also mastered the peculiarities of localization. As translator, my primary focus is on the quality and accuracy of my work. I pride myself on providing carefully crafted, stylish writing that does not read like a translation. I give all my translations a thorough review before returning them and carefully research all terminology in specialist dictionaries.
Furthermore, during my university internship program in Saint-Petersburg (Russian Federation), I have had the opportunity to work as Italian language teacher at the Saint-Petersburg State University (Faculty of Philology and Arts, 09/2009-9/2010).
Thence, I hope that from this brief summary you can have a general, but positive view of my university and professional experience, which I really hope can meet your needs and kindle your interest in a possible collaboration.
For further information, please do not hesitate to take a look at the attached CV or to contact me. I will be very glad to help you.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and I take my chance to give you my greetings.
Best regards,
Consuelo Speranza
