I am Muhammad Ikram, native Urdu and Punjabi translator from Pakistan. I have been a professional translator since 2007. I completed my masters in English Literature and Linguistics from National University of Modern Languages. Back in 2009 I joined HRCP (Human Rights Commission of Pakistan) as a translator and editor where I gained tremendous experience in social sciences translations especially Constitution articles, UNO charters, Government documents, reports and books.
I have been doing freelance translations in various fields i.e Social Sciences, Law, Medical, IT, website translation, Technical documents, Manuals etc. I also translated a book; “Selected writings of Albert Einstein”. Still waiting to be published.

Experience:
• 5 years of experience as a freelance translator and writer, translated in every major field like Journalism, IT, Medical, Social Sciences, General Science, Language
• 3 years of experience as an interpreter for political delegations at LPP (Labor Party Pakistan) and LEF (Labor Education Foundation)
• 2 years’ experience as head of literary committee and media secretary of University Students Federation at Punjab University
• 3 years of experience as an editor and translator at Human Rights Commission of Pakistan
• TLE (Target Language Expert) at AVANT ASSESSMENT
• Urdu translator at TED Talks open translation project
• Urdu subtitling at “Translators Beyond Borders”

Technical domain: 0.05$/word

Proofreading
Content vise: 10$/1000 words
Timely: 10$/hour

Output per day
Normal: 2500-3000 words/day
Urgent: 4000-5000 words/day(please note rates are different for Urgent tasks)
