German to English translator and proof reader specialising in financial services, sales, marketing, market research and business.

My speciality fields are all supported by considerable first hand commercial experience. For 14 years I worked for global finance companies in a variety of sales and marketing roles, working extensively on projects in Germany and Switzerland, and providing an in-house translation, proof reading, editing and text précis service as part of these positions.

My approach to translation: quality, delivered to your deadline

To achieve this I:
- always translate into my native language
- only accept jobs on subjects where I have expertise
- base my translations on personal knowledge of the subject, referring only occasionally to online glossaries and dictionaries
- charge rates that reflect the level of specialism and complexity of the job, and that allow me to give each job adequate time and attention
- treat your texts with the same level of care as I do texts for my own business
- return texts only when I am completely satisfied

Translation is my pleasure and my passion. Fundamentally I believe it is about connecting people and ideas from different countries. For native German speakers I provide the opportunity to communicate in excellent English, helping fruitful (and profitable) relationships to develop…for native English speakers, access to the wealth of information, inspiration, opportunities and culture available in the German language.
