TRANSLATION RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

1995 - present Freelance translations/proofreading for over 200 translation companies and direct clients in North America, Europe and Asia.

Translations include: user's guides and instructions for home and restaurant appliances, computers and software, motor vehicles, medical equipment and devices, tools, and industrial machinery; computer programs; web sites; chemical/hazardous material databases, MSDS forms; medical reports and questionnaires; legal and business documents; product labels, and advertisement texts.

EDUCATION

1988 Master of Science (Agricultural Zoology; supporting subjects Horticultural Sciences and Plant Pathology), Department of Agricultural and Forest Zoology, University of Helsinki, Finland.

1994 Ph.D. (Entomology, Biological Control), Department of Entomological Sciences, University of California, Berkeley, USA.

University course work includes: Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Chemistry & Toxicology, Genetics, Computer Sciences, Physics, Statistics, Soil Sciences, Forestry, Engineering, and Marketing.
