Veteran, skilled and reliable translator, proofreader, reviewer/editor and post-editor, with 41 years in the translation industry and with an extensive experience in legal, commercial, international cooperation/development, educational, religious, electronic, telecoms, software & IT, and books translations.
Bilingual native French and near-native English speaker with a certification in Translation and a master’s degree in IT and a bachelor’s degree in commercial sciences, plus an undergraduate diploma of law, an undergraduate diploma of polytechnic engineering, an undergraduate diploma in divinity sciences, a diploma in French Literature, and a certificate in translation studies.
My linguistic pair is from English to French as my main combination, and my secondary being from French to English, and I have been in the translation industry since 1980.

Literature $0.05 to $0.14 per word
Legal; Financial, IT issues $0.05 to $0.09 per word
Technical; Scientific; Industrial $0.06 to $0.12 per word

Prices may vary depending upon the length of project. Format and time required to complete assignment.
Rush projects will be priced 15% above normal rates.
When pricing translation projects, the number of target or source words within a document usually determines the costs
Translation costs are also determined by the level of complexity within each project document. For instance, a general letter in French will not be the same price as a technical patent, a legal contract, pharmaceutical clinical trial documents or a software manual.
Languages such as Western languages are priced based on the target word count, while Middle Eastern and Eastern languages are priced upon the source word count.
Translation project delivery: exclusively on a floppy or by Email; otherwise an extra cost will be charged for typesetting and editing
