I am a native speaker of Bahasa Indonesia with native-level English fluency. I hold a Bachelor Degree in English Language & Literatures (cum laude graduate) from the oldest and, arguably, the best university in Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University (UGM). Aside from that, I also hold a Diploma in Translator Training from PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, as authorized by Australian National Training Authority.

I have more than 8 years extensive translating experience, 4 years of which as a dedicated professional translator. I have experiences as both a freelancer for more than 6 years and in-house translator in a US-based multinational mining company for almost 2 years. As a freelancer, my clients are mostly agencies who receive translation orders for international institutions and corporations, such as the UN, and other Indonesian corporations and also publishers.

During my career as a translator, I have been translating extensive genres of texts from English into Indonesian, and vice versa in extensive subject matters, counting to millions of millions of words. These include technical manuals and modules, guidelines, contract documents, agreements, advertorials, play scripts, video scripts and transcripts, letters, news articles, training documents, standard practices, international conventions, etc.

My rates are basically negotiable, but my usual rates are:

English-Indonesian translation service are:

US$ 0.07-0.12 per source word,

English-Indonesian editing/proofreading:

US$0.03-0.05 per source word,

depending on the text complexity, difficulty, length and urgency.

I also provide Indonesian-English translation service, but for information purpose only at a negotiable price.
