I am a professional freelance translator and editor with more than 10 years of experience (both in-house and freelance), including 5 years as Chief Editor for Spanish books and materials at a publishing house in Denmark.

I studied Engineering (Computer Sciences Specialty) at college, at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. I worked as a Computer Programmer/Software Analyst for several years on Electronic Data Systems (multinational software services company), but I've been dedicated to the world of translations & interpreting since 2002. I am well experienced and knowledgeable in a wide range of subjects, especially IT & Computing, scientific & technical translations, marketing & advertising materials, etc. I am proficient and highly experienced as well in many other subjects -- in my 12 years of experience I have dealt with a tremendously wide range of areas from a professional capacity.

I also have ample experience with a wide range of CAT tools (SDL Idiom Worldserver, SDL Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast, WebTranslateIt, POEdit).

I am currently established in Barcelona. My mother tongues are Spanish and Catalan alike. English is nearly a third mother tongue to me, for I have lived abroad more than 10 years (US, Israel, Denmark, etc, where I furthered my education and developed my career as a translator & interpreter).

My regular rates are:
Translation: 0.08 EUR/source word (0.09 USD/source word)
Editing/Review: 0.05 EUR/word (0.06 USD/source word)
Proofreading: 0.03 EUR/word (0.04 USD/source word)

I offer as well full TEP at a discounted rate of 0.10 EUR/word (I work in close collaboration with 2 other highly qualified linguists and we take care of the complete process of Translation, Editing & Proofreading and guarantee a high quality, spotless product).
