I am by education a literature and language professional with a BA in literature and a Post-BA in English pedagogy (TESOL). I have been a resident in Istanbul for five years, am fluent in Turkish, and successfully completed Boðaziçi University's Advanced Academic Turkish summer course (on scholarship) in August 2004.
My professional experience in translating Turkish includes journalistic work for Mediachannel.org, an on-line global news source, for which I translated Turkish articles and reports into English. In the other part of my professional life I teach English and prepare Turkish students for tests such as the TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, and SAT. My wife, who is Turkish, is a lawyer, and I often aid in translating legal documents from Turkish to English.
