maria l (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

Spanish > English

Subject:

General

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

túnica larga con capota

Context:

el traje típico de marruecos que consiste en una túnica larga con capota

The answer of tadawood  See profile was rated best

a long, hooded garment

My comment:

While "tunic" would technically be correct here, its current use is mostly for female apparel,

A "robe," in modern English signifies something which opens and closes- closer to the Saudi style "Abaya" than what this is referring to.
