Hallo Ute! I live in the UK, they say accident and emergency doctor here. "....had him brought...." does not feel right, why don't you use the word transport? "Der Notarzt liess ihn in eine Klinik transportieren." "liess" implies that he saw to it that someone transported him. In English one would not say "brought" like "gebracht" . Fachsimpelei, ich weiß...... Viel Spaß, Arie!
