It is remarkable, actually, how true that statement is across the board -- whether it is in the USA or in France or in Korea or in Japan or, I would imagine, anywhere else in the world, being young, male, and of an ethnic minority puts you at a higher risk for successful suicide attempt. An interesting aside is that while more adolescent females *attempt* suicide than males, males generally use more violent means.
