"Civil and hydraulic engineering"

My comment:

You should carefully check the references.

I'm sure that "Ingenieurwasserbau" is "hydraulic engineering". "Tief-" is from "Tiefbau", that means "Civil engineering".

My references:

Its English equivalent is:

"Ingenieurwasserbau" = "hydraulic engineering": http://www.windenergie-agentur.de/deutsch/die_wab/Kurzportraits_Mitglieder/VOSS.html
