My comment:

If this is dealing with statistics rather than manufacturing quatitiies of objects I am not sure batch is the word. Is this not something lie: Owing to the low number of cases, sometimes they have to be treated as synopsis.

I wouldn't use SUMMARY. In manufacturing, handling a large number of things at the same time is called a BATCH.
