not really an unusual term - I guess the problem is that the exact content isn't known (my proposal would apply to anything from machines, devices, software etc.)

Mir sind diese beiden Begriffe so zusammen noch nie untergekommen! Meist ist die Rede von Installation Data - Einbaudaten.
Ist dies evtl. schon eine Übersetzung?
Ich würde nachfragen, was damit gemeint ist.

It depends on what kind of "installation". Perhaps you can let me know. "Maintenance" ist für mich eher Wartung.
