Barbara Cochran (a guest user) asked this question:

Language pair:

Italian > English

Subject:

Other

Level of diffculty:

Easy / medium

Word or term in question:

sciatteria e trasandatezza (questo contesto)

Context:

Keywords:

I'm looking for a more elegant way to express the two terms, rather than the literal, if possible.

noncuranza

My comment:

Often, in English, you use two terms that have the same meaning. In Italian, we don't really do that so you might want to use only one of those terms. Since they are talking about religions and Divine Glory you might want to use noncuranza, as in "not being willing to see God's signs".

There were few little mistakes in your text. Hope you don't mind if i underlined them here.
