The whole sentence would be: "We crossed the lower part of the city and we entered the south of the city via calle Grande."
As it is the name of the street, technically, you wouldn't translate it. If you were to translate it, you could use

My comment:

Could be Wide Road. I see the word Grande is capitalised so it means that the road named for how it looks. In Barbados there is a road called Broad Street because it was the biggest road in the whole of Barbados.
