My comment:

Unfortunately, I do not exactly know what were the words before, so can only guess, and there is no place where I can place a comment before I give an answer; also maybe: if they carry on with it , it is better to give up

Thank for your input. Count Cesarino is not respondng to anything anyone said as a result of his public run-in with his wife, but is commenting on his wife's behavior during the same, I would imagine.

So who Se Fanno sul serio? His wife Senaide? meaning if she continues like this, it is better to let her go?

Isn't he talking about women in general who have the same kind of temperament that his wife, Zenaide, does?

Eh, ok then, makes sense too. Here is the answer: if they carry on like this, better give up/let go or If that is the way forward, it's no good/there is no future

No, it turns out this is the male host of the party who is commenting on the husband who has embarassed his wife, Zenaide, in front of everybody.

Then Cesarino is not her husband? But the one who has made the comment by which he has been embarrassed by the fight

Yes, you last assumption is correct.

If that is the case/the way they are going to go on, let them be/ let go off(meaning do not interfere, even do not invite them
