Here, the reflections are like a fire with shooting flames...here the reflections are being compared to flames that shoot out of a fire..or shoot up from a fire. The reflections shoot upwards like flames is my reading...
arrancar is to tear something away from something.

My comment:
It would have been good to know the noun for negra in order to complete your your sentence or may be suggest something more poetic, but that is the general idea.
A guess would be: producing (or forming) fire (or flame) reflections on the black waters.

Thanks, Margarita. The noun is "superficie del agua". I understand the meaning of the phrase, it's just that "flamígeros" is usually used to describe very ornate gothic style, and I would like to find a more poetic translation.
