Carlos Pablo MIGUES-LABANCA, BSc.  See profile asked this question:

Language pair:

Spanish > English

Subject:

Law / Certificates

Level of diffculty:

Difficult / demanding

Word or term in question:

Facultades(centros de enseñanza universitaria

Context:

Hi, there.
Any suggestions? Thank you very much in advance !!

Keywords:

Postgraduate certificate

University schools/Colleges

My comment:

Hola, Carlos Pablo.
¡Suerte!

Schools (academic departments)

My comment:

Aunque no te guste, yo diría igual "in all Schools of the University..."

Sorry my answer got cut off. Then the website wouldn't let me re-post. The only words used for "facultad" are "schools" (i.e. School of Education, School of Medicine) and "colleges" (i.e. College of Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences). Don't use "departments". This is to designate smaller subject area divisions within a school or college. The English Dept., for example, is within the College of Arts and Sciences at my alma mater.
