Hi,

I would like to translate a novel of 129000 words from English into German and looking for interesting offers from experienced translators.

Beispieltext:
“I was lying there on the floor dozing when the gang members draped some sort of cloth around my head – like a blindfold, perhaps. At first I expected it to be doused with something that would put me to sleep. It wasn’t. They held me down on the ground and tried to sexually harass me, pulling down my pants and pummelling my buttocks and back with their fists. They pushed my neck and face down hard against the ground and beat me while I was in a position that didn’t allow me to defend myself. They spent a good deal of time pounding their fists into my upper arms. I think you saw the bruising.”
The superintendent nodded, wincing again. The beating had happened on his watch and he was plainly uncomfortable about that. He tried to make the case that his hands were tied by the system as if to alleviate himself of any culpability.
