Q. What was the most critical or challenging situation as a translator and how did you manage it?
A. There have been many challenging jobs over time, but I remember one on a
computer game that made me start at the beginning of 5000 questions, the
counterpart at the far end. When I got somewhere around 1000, I was told to go
the whole road because the other end did not respond any longer. I can assure
you it became a long weekend...
Q. What was the funniest event in your career as a translator?
A. Not so much a funny event, but a very pleasant experience was the fact that one
of my long standing clients now just called me on a day I was not supposed to be
at home. The short interview resulted in a working relationship that has lasted
for over 2 years now. |
