Professional interpreters needed in Spain

Professional interpreters needed in Spain, mainly in Barcelona and Madrid. If based elsewhere in Spain, please specify your travel means (+ rates, if applicable) and your willingness to travel (e.g. up to a certain distance, not at the weekends, etc.)

Please note: professional freelance interpreters only.

Minimum requirements for...

...liaison:

university studies in translation/interpreting (e.g. licenciatura en traducción e interpretación)

...simultaneous:

specific interpreting studies (not translation)
for example:

- translation and interpreting degree, specialised in interpreting (extra credits) OR
- interpreting postgraduate or masters course programme (only university or equivalent) AND
- work experience as an interpreter

Applicants must indicate:

- Full name and address (at least, city and region)

- TAX status (able to issue legal invoices? registered as Autónomo?)

- studies (name of institution, course name, dates, location)

- work experience (list of interpreting jobs; translation jobs are also to be considered. Please include: full name of event, type of interpreting service performed, n. hours/days, language pairs, topic, dates

- A, B, C languages according to the AIIC standards
(A: native or strictly equivalent; B: near-native and able to interpret professionally into this language if needed; C: source language for interpreting only) and language pairs

- Areas of specialisation (name the most important only)

- willingness to: travel, take assignments that require overnight stays, be away at the weekend, etc.

- Your agency rate scheme (per half-day, full-day, extra hour, all discounts or surcharges that apply, different rates depending on type of service required if applicable, travel rates when travelling by car -per km or hour-, etc.

- any memberships you may have

- at least two professional references (interpreting work only)
